    How are your water levels

After a day of down pours yesterday and a pretty good snow fall today, they announced today that the Nottawasaga River here is up 6 ft and flood warnings have been announced. Unheard of for this time of year as a rise like this is something that happens during the spring thaw. Whats happening in your neck of the woods?

Bad luck to change boat name?

YES, horrible bad luck. It was so bad we sold the boat. Do the ceremony for the love of G0d man. You don't want the wrath of the sea gods to descend upon you. I'll start praying for you now

    My new cell

I just got my new cell phone, and it's one that I can understand, and know how to operate!!! I got it at the "Verizon Cell Phone for Seniors’ store". I know some of you are not old enough to get this, but I thought I would pass it on to some of you guys who may need a laugh today!

    No wake zone ignored

Up here in Ontario, the standard boat speed is 10 KPH or less anytime that a boat is operating within 30 meters (100 ft) of the shore. Boaters can be fined up to 500 deer for violating this speed limit. This also applys to posted "No Wake" zones. I'm sure there must be something similar in your area. http://www.tc.gc.ca/eng/marinesafety/debs-obs-operation-enforcement-menu-95.htm

    Clean mattress cover

The way we put our cover back on last year was we turned it inside out and starting at the closed end, rolled it onto the mattress much like putting the peel back on a banana (if you catch my drift)

Loss of power, backfiring, not sure what to do.

Have you had a code reader hooked up to check for ECU error codes. It sounds to me like a TPS is acting up. It sends the throttle position information to the ECU. Could be it's sending the wrong information and the ECU is putting the engine in safe mode.

    Boat fire.

Holy jeezinheimer. That is one sad looking pic of a burning boat. My heart goes out to you.

    I need Help

Welcome Sean. Not sure what year your 260 is but on our 240, the switches for the cabin lights and pressure pump for the water are on the helm console. As for the water, I would think that if you cracked an opening in the keel of the boat the water would end up in the bilge. A gallon of water seems to be a lot of water to get in the v-birth storage compartments. Is your anchor locker drain plugged up?

    Promoting (or demoting?) the Admiral...

+1 - My Admiral can slip our boat just as well, if not better at times, than I can. Don't sweat it.

    Poli Glow

Has anyone used Poli Glow on their gelcoat. I watched a dock mate at our marina today and this stuff is amazing. I'm normally skeptical with stuff like this but as I watched the process I was pretty impressed. Any thoughts?

    Poli Glow

He picked it up at the boat show in Toronto this year. You can order the kit from their website. Not to bad of a price and they are in Ontario so shipping shouldn't be too much.

    Interesting site at Canyon Lake

Used to be a guy that lived just east of Peterborough (Apsley or Jack Lake) that had all kinds of parts for them and a couple of running ones. That was back in the early 80's though.

Gas gauge on my 240, when is it really empty?

I have a 240 Matt. My gauge is pretty accurate. When its at quarter tank and I go for a fill, I tell the lads at the fuel dock give me around 200 Lt and its pretty much bang on.

Looking for a vent window... please help!!!

First of all, welcome to the forum. Not sure where you are, but you can try Sandy Cove Marine up here in Ontario or give Joe a shout at Cecil Marine over in N.J. One of them should be able to help you out. Chances are your windshield was made by Taylor Made Products and they may also be able to help. Hopefully Shepherd will chime in as he's pretty good in the parts department. Good luck in your search. Windshield parts are hard to come by.

Need a few parts that Ceciles can't get for my 95 2335

Try these guys as well. They used to be a Chaparral dealer and have tons of hard to find parts in their fleamarket. http://www.sandycovemarine.com/Page.aspx/pageId/30181/Sandy-Cove-Marine-Recyclers.aspx If the lock is a Southco brand, give them a shout. They got me a couple of keys for my cabin door. http://www.southco.com/browse/locks-7749.html
