driving boats, riding in a boat, working on a boat, sleeping on a boat, drinking on a boat, and anything that's shiny!
  1. We have a transient come over to our marina every year from Canada with a 2004 550. Sexy beast that boat is.
  2. Ya know, it's not that he sold me the wrong cover. He tried. I get it. It's the fact that he refused to let me return it when he found out it clearly wouldn't work. I just feel like he robbed me and then told me that I'd have to buy a new wallet.
  3. I changed my signature, but was unable to change my picture for some reason.
  4. I got the 330 in March of 2013. Sold the Chaparral in April of the same year. Still like to check out the message boards though. Just haven't updated my information here. You bet I posted this on Club Sea Ray. I'm telling anyone who will listen. I would want to know. Update: It was deleted and I was banned. For what, I have no idea...
  5. I thought about that, but I bought it in march and just now had it modified. Too much time has passed I think
  6. Just want to put this out there to the boating community...Harvard Marine is a largely eBay based marine store "specializing" in cockpit covers. Called him for a cockpit cover for my boat. He intentionally sent me the wrong cover, refused to take it back, and stuck me with the bill to have it modified to fit my boat after telling me he would take care of it. After faxing, emailing, and calling, it appears that he fell off the planet, because I haven't heard back from him. It's not the money, it's the principle of the whole thing. I would not order anything from this guy...

  8. Don't know anything about previous owner. It's a repo'd boat that came from lake Norman and ended up here in Cleveland...
  9. 1994 330 Sundancer
  10. Just wondering if anyone, specifically from Lake Norman, is familliar with a boat named Artina...
  11. Anyone on Lake Norman ever heard of a boat named Artina down there?
  12. I have a 1990 signature 30. The shower hose in the head needs to be replaced. I can't seem to find a replacement hose ANYWHERE. The problem is that the hose ends are very specific to the faucet so I can't just run to home depot and cobble up some fittings to make work. Anyone have any ideas? I really don't want to have to replace the whole faucet. Thank you in advance...
  13. My buddy from work bought a boat last year and recently discovered a real head scratcher. He has an OMC drive with a 350 chevy block. The block has all OMC acc. bolted to it(risers, manifolds, etc..) I've never seen OMC mated to GM products. It's my understanding that OMC runs Ford power and mercruiser runs Chevy power.. Are there conversion kits out there or did someone frankenstein this together to make it work? The boat seems to work fine, just thought it was kinda wierd. Thanks, Matt
  14. If you didn't cry-there's something wrong with ya!!
  15. Might it be a "flapper" in the riser making the noise? My starboard mercruiser engine has a "tick" noise at idle and all signs indicate that it's the anti-backwash flapper thingy in my risers. Not a super big deal so I just live with it. Please excuse all my technical verbage-not a mechanic. Just know enough to break things even worse!!
