  1. I asked Shipyard Marine in Green Bay this same question when I bought my 2012 264. The replacement part includes the entire engine hatch assembly as noted above. Your local dealer can order the part. I don't know what the price was for sure; but as i recall it was around including shipping - but don't hold me to it.
  2. Sounds like a clogged fuel filter to me. Works fine up to a certain throughput; then the engine wants more than it can deliver. Worst case, it could your fuel pump.
  3. I used uship.com to get my new 2012 264 Sunesta from Green Bay to Denver in March. The guy I hired, while somewhat gruff, was very communicative and delivered on time. You can reach him directly at: Matt Wallner (920) 265-9437
  4. Check out this post from Tuesday: http://forum.chaparralboats.com/index.php?showtopic=21858
  5. Excellent point. If one wanted to buy a mooring cover for extended coverage; where is the best source?
  6. Greetings Rocky Mountain Community. Where can I find information about rallys, events or other gatherings of Chaparral owners in the Rocky Mountain Region? I am interested in communing with all of you and don't want to miss anything!! Thanks, John
  7. FWIW - I just purchased a new 2012 264 Sunesta. Volvo recommended a gear & prop change for altitude over 3000'. I believe this service notice calls out the specifics: http://www.marinemechanic.com/volvo/volvo/2010/44-0-8_A%5B1%5Dhighaltituderatios.pdf
  8. I just purchased a 2012 Sunesta 264 and opted for the 400hp engine. Further, I worked with the dealer on a prop change, and a lower unit gear change based on Volvo's suggestion. As I recall; Volvo suggested the gear change at altitudes over 3000' (or maybe it was 3500') We will run our boat at 8000' almost all the time. I have not had it in the water at altitude yet; but I was very please with the performance at ~1000' on Lake Mead.

    Lake Mead - April 2013

Our new 264 Sunesta was delivered on Easter Sunday. A few days later we packed it up and took off for Spring Break on Lake Mead. If these 8 days are any indication of the fun and family time we will have with our new Chaparral; we definitely made the right choice.
