  1. I have a new 330 Signature and have a bridge that while idling is about maybe a foot or so of clearance over my radome. Question is does the boat sit lower while cruising or at idle? I'm afraid to cruise under this bridge due to the clearance but is a pain to start up plane again if I don't need to. Let me know your thoughts.
  2. It's official I place my order on a new 2015 330 sig with 377 MAG's with Axius, Seacore. Can't wait to welcome the new lady to the family.
  3. I confirmed with two different Mercury customer reps. One via email and the other on the phone. Axius WILL work with the drives trimmed up. Key thing it won't be as effective but neither is backing the boat in without it doing it manually. So either way this is good news given this question has come up before and no one seem to have the answer on this. I confirmed with with Mercury directly.
  4. Well I just confirmed with Mercury that you CAN use the Axius system with the drives in the up position. Turns out must of the people I talked said Axius only works in the full down position. So now I have a decision 350 MAG's with Axius or 377's with a bow thruster. Tough choice. Performance vs maneuverability. What would you do????
  5. Problem is where i boat water levels are low and AXIUS won't work. The water level near the docks are even lower and drives need to be trimmed halfway which from what i've read AXIUS won't work unless drives are all the way down. I was going to get a bow thruster instead.
  6. Unfortunately I don't have the luxury to test both the 350 MAG and the 377 MAG side by side. So clearly from what I read the fact that I'm spending this much already whats another 9k. I guess go big or go home is the name of the game.
  7. The key is doing mostly cruising would i gain anything as far as more MPH. I don't do that much WOT driving given I have my children on the boat. I would be interested in a few more MPH's at cruising speeds. If I won't gain anything with the 377 in that area it wouldn't be worth the 9k upgrade.
  8. I'm trying to decided between the 350 MAG and the 377 MAG engines for the 330 Signature. Its a 9k difference and I'm not sure if I would really see the extra power unless I did WOT. Would the 377 help planing and would I get an extra 1 or 2 MPH during cruising speed? Let me know your thoughts.
  9. It has twin 5.0's which I know it's a little underpowered. I would expect low 40's top end. I would assume getting up to plane would be fine. What's your thoughts.
  10. So is the freight charge a dealer charge or cost they incurred from chaparral like a destination charge?

  12. I need some guidance. I had my XDP drives replaced with the new Volvo DPS-B drives. I was trying to calibrate the trim and was able to finally get it to work only when calibrating it in the full up position. It wouldn't work in the full down it would only sit at the bottom not moving up when moving the drives. When I finally got it to work somewhat using the full up position calibration it would only move to about 65% my square gauge and when all the way down to about the 25% mark. Plus when I do move the drives the trim indicator moves very slow like its not very responsive to the movement. What is wrong with my trim calibration? Did the dealer wire the wrong wires or something that would cause it to do this? What else could the problem be?
  13. i guess I will have to take a look at the wiring. Maybe its the dimmer switch too. I will have to figure it out.
