  1. Thanks!!! I sold my smaller Chaparral via CL, will try and do the same this time! Good reminder.
  2. What site do you think is the best to list your boat? With tears in my eyes, I'm going to sell my 236 SSX (2007). I love her, love boating, wife, not so much. Hard choice between the two, but my marriage must come first, at least today! Suggestions on where to post this sale would be appreciated! thanks, John
  3. Drew, I AM taking my 236 SSX to Bimini this summer. Planned all last, just couldn't make it happen. As it stands, I'll be heading over May 19th or 20th, out of Dania. Only staying for a couple days this trip. Will come back to the Miami boat show (a bigger anniversary present for my wifey?). I trust my skills, tools and boat, but still all dependent on weather, of course. You really sleeping on her? Maybe a small group of us head out at the same time? Flat water, 53 mph, should arrive in an hour! <<<<grin>>>> (jk) Thanks, John
  4. Thanks Jeffrey, yes the parts list was my first stop. This item is not listed, sadly. As you mentioned, probably too small.
  5. The bathroom door of my Chaparral bumps up against this "Door Stop". I need to replace it but cannot find this simple, and probably $2.00 item, anywhere. Anybody have a part number for this? Getting ready for another season! I AM going to make the Bimini run this year! thanks! John
  6. The bathroom door of my Chaparral. It bumps up against this "Door Stop". I need to replace the door stop but cannot find this simple, and probably $2.00 item, anywhere. Anybody have a part number for this? Correct name it seems, Transom Door Stop. Getting ready for another season! I AM going to make the Bimini run this year! thanks! John
  7. If your speedometer is not working, a good chance the intake hole is plugged up. I read that many times, but unfortunately, I could not easily find a Boat Talk post that showed EXACTLY where the intake hole was on my 236 SSX. Thankfully, after much searching, I found the answer. Shepherd (I think), posted a picture showing exactly where the hole is. It was a few years ago, but in hopes of helping someone else I am "reposting", and added a few topic tags. Finally, fixed, all good. I used an eyeglass screwdriver to unplug. Again, just thought I would "Pass it On"! Thanks!!!
  8. Shepherd, Thanks, that is EXACTLY what I've been looking for!
  9. Futzin, Nice looking boat, love the towers! Mine: 2007 Chaparral 236 SSX Volvo 5.7 GSI Dual Prop – 320 Horsepower 130 hours as of October, 2014 (and rising, thinking I might be "sick" again this Friday!)
  10. Thanks everybody, I'm looking! And here is my new baby!!! This was my present to the wifey for our 18th wedding anniversary! Looks like I'll call her "Porcelain" (what your supposed to give for #18!!)
  11. I just purchased a 2007 236 SSX, Volvo 5.7 (128 hours). I want to add a wakeboard tower. First, does anyone know who make the tower on the white boat in this image? Even better, does anyone know of an aftermarket add on that looks like the white tower, with the top, in the 2nd picture (beautiful boat)? Any help would be appreciated. thanks, John
  12. Brick, Interesting idea, but how long to get ready again to go? And Denny, great info. Thanks!!
