Also here is one currently for sale if you haven't already seen it. The owner added a custom stereo system. I think that makes the boat look horrible. What do you think? http://www.yachtworld.com/boats/2010/Chaparral-400-Premiere-2789145/Plano/TX/United-States#.VJisvDAA

I keep it at Summit North Marina. Not the nicest but has a great location and great protection from the elements. Winterized with a company located at Summit North. Location provides easy access to bothe the Chesapeake Bay and Delaware River/Bay. Where do you guys keep your boats?

It was originally for sale at Waterfront Marine but the owner had a disagreement with WM. Ended up buying from owner.

Yes there is enough room. There are also steps in the cabin to help get to the bow.

That is real teak flooring that came with the boat. Was not installed aftermarket. It is covered by hardtop so very easy maintenance.

I burn on average 30 GPH at 30 MPH at cruise. I have gotten to a top speed of 36 MPH with the twin 370 hp volvos diesels. Gas is significantly louder than diesel engines. I had a 2006 350 (now called a 370) which was much louder at cruise than my diesals. At my marina diesal fuel is also cheaper than gasoline which is another plus. I haven't had any problems with the forward facing props even when I thought I had gone over a log. The draft of the props is something you have to think about as I had to move out of my old slip because I got stuck the first time I brought the boat into the marina. (Also my boat is blue, pictures a little dark)

I have one which you can see in my gallery. I love it. The 400 and 420 are the exact same boat just with a name change to show that this is a 42 foot boat not a 40 foot. My 2011 looks much better than 2011's from Sea Ray or Cruiser Yachts. I love the full hardtop and mine has cockpit air. Again there are pictures in my profile gallery.
