  1. Any time I leave my Truck or Boat with a mechanic, or parking service,(airport), I take a picture of the hour meter or odometer with my phone.
  2. Thanks Richard, somehow this got posted twice. Not sure how. I have the combo analog/Digital gauges with multiple windows. I can not find a engine operating temperature readout anywhere. The boat is in ABay and I am home in Pa. I will mess with it when I get back up there in October.
  3. Thanks Chap 243 I'll try that.
  4. I have the Analog/Digital gauge combination. The only temperature readout I can find is the raw water temperature, the temperature of the water I am sitting in.
  5. 2010 216ssi. 5.0 Volvo. I don't seem to have a gauge that reflects internal engine temperature. What would be the first sign a raw water pump was not moving enough water?

  7. Going back to N.Y. St.Lawrence River this weekend. Please post pics and more info. I have never heard of Wallypalooza before, only 90 miles away.

Drove out to Reno,Nv. from Philadelphia area two years age. Nothing like the american west. Thanks for posting.
  9. Had the same problem this summer, had both charging leads from the battery switch on one battery; horn did not work either.
  10. Arrived at Wellesley Island New York on Saturday July 8th for a three week vacation. Had the boat in the water by 10am, rained the rest of the day, Sunday and most of Monday. Went for a cruise Monday night and noticed a wining noise and bilge pump ran for extended time. Pulled boat on Tuesday morning and went to Chalks Marina. Split in bellows and failing gimbal bearing. Back in the water on the 16th. Rain,...rain,...more rain,...clouds, wind,...more rain. On the evening of the 22nd I may have witnessed the heaviest rain I have ever experienced. I found a bucket outside the next morning with about a foot of water in it, I'm sure was empty before the storm. Restaurants, fuel stations, etc. are all suffering loss of business; the one exception is liquor stores. I don't know how I managed to put 10 hours on the boat. 2017 will go down as the summer that wasn't. P.S. still had fun, beautiful location.
  11. Bimini top frame keeps "popping" out of the mounts. Doesn't have to be rough water. All four "legs" have done this a different times. The ball on the foot of the frame easily jumps over the locking pin. Anyone else have this problem, suggestions for a fix? 216 SSi.
  12. How much have conditions changed since June 15th? Coming up this Saturday.
  13. I"m sure it is extremely difficult to predict something as complicated as future weather. There are simply too many variables. I would rather have a more accurate short range forecast than a probably/maybe/could be longer one.
  14. Interstate batteries since 2010, 1000cca for starting and dual purpose deep cycle for on the hook. No problems so far.
