  1. Congrats! I had a very similar story 3 years ago. It's a great boat and you will love it! Welcome to the group Bobo.
  2. Nice looking boat! Welcome to the forum.
  3. I think he is trying to figure out how to tow the boat and trailer at the same time.
  4. Pen Yann has a decent public boat launch. I launch and retrieve my 28 footer there once a year although I have to admit it is a little short for my boat so next year I am thinking of trying the launch @ Keuka Lake State Park.
  5. Welcome to the group. Several things come to mind for new boaters. 1) Take a USCG approved boating course to learn the "rules of the road". You'll be amazed on how many people out there don't know the rules and create potentially dangerous situations. 2) Before loading the family up and heading out take one person out with you and spend several hours learning how to maneuver and dock the boat. This will relieve a LOT of stress on your "maiden voyage" with the family /friends. 3 ) If your trailing the boat take some time to read up on best practices at the ramp and spend some time practicing during off hours.
  6. Welcome! I’m sure you will love love love the 220. Everyone that has one does!
  7. No but we have a 2008 276 SSX and we love it! They are great boats and I’m sure you will love it too.
  8. I know. Last year was tough, really didn't do much boating until August last year due to water levels. Hope this year is better.
  9. John is a meteorologist on one the local TV channels. He is well known for his photography. BTW I boat out of Sodus bay and visit Chimney Bluff's and Webster all the time
  10. I am rooting for reasonable lake levels for the Great Lakes this spring. Currently Lake Ontario is about 13" higher than last year.
  11. According to this ling Chaparral did not provide a manual for 1991.
  12. Congrats! How can you not LOVE a boat like that!
  13. Intake Air Control valve. Takes about 5 min to change once you locate it. Also I purchased mine from Auto Zone based on a recommendation from Wingnut. I paid ~89 deer vs the 200 or so Merc wanted.
  14. Futzin - Beautiful boat! I have to say my 2008 is in the similar condition. It also stays out all from April thru October then it is stored indoors for the winter.
  15. I’d go with the black. As far as fading as long as you take care of the hull .... washing and waxing a couple of times a year you will be fine.
