    Cleat fell off - 2006 255 SSI

    Thanks guys! M.
  2. hi folks, I have a pop-up cleat that fell off starboard aft on my 2006 Chap 255 SSI. I can't seem to find anyone that has a direct replacement and chaparral doesn't make it anymore. I'd rather not have to drill to replace a cleat but looks like I may have to.......... any suggestions or members that have gone through a similar situation could be helpful......and YES the ice has finally melted up here in Canada....... :) M.

    Changing coolant in a 496

LOL - yep many choice words and I'm sure bruises on my not very limber body, I'm only 5'9" but I must say I felt like a giant in the bilge starboard side! However I'm happy to say the work has been completed and I'm very happy that it is. thanks for the help paulswagelock!

    Changing coolant in a 496

Did you have to remove anything to get to the starboard side drain plug? Or just difficult process but able to get it done with time and patience.......

    Chaparral 255 SSI

Hi Folks, Picking our first boat on the 9th of June and can't wait our summer to begin..........it's been a little cold and grey here in Atlantic Canada but we're hoping for a warm summer. We decided on a 2006 Chaparral 255 ssi with 496 (140 hours) and I'm very happy with our choice. I joined the forum last night but was reading comments and getting pictures from the many owners on it. Just wanted to say hi and let you all know you have a new Chaparral family! Pics to follow....... Marc
