  1. THANKS TO ALL. HOPEFULLY ONE OF THESE WILL RESOLVE THE ISSUE.
  2. HEY EVERYBODY. I HAVE A 1993 5.7 CARBED MERCRUISER IN A 24 CHAPARRAL I AM THINKING ABOUT CONVERTING TO FUEL INJECTION. HAS ANYBODY PERFORMED THIS CONVERSION ON A SIMULAR SIZE BOAT? IN PARTICULAR, I AM INTERSETED IN THE FUEL MILAGE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN CARBED AND FUEL INJECTION. ALSO, WOULD LIKE TO KNOW WHO MANUFACTURED YOUR CONVERSION KIT. AS OF NOW WHEN I SHUT DOWN THE MOTOR IT WILL RESTART FINE IN THE FIRST TWO OR THREE MINUTES. AFTER THAT IT WILL CRANK OVER FOR ABOUT 30 - 45 SECONDS BEFORE REFIRING. I HAVE TRIED PUMPING THE THROTTLE, PUSHING IT UP JUST A LITTLE, AND PUSHING THE THROTTLE TO WIDE OPEN, STILL DOES THE SAME THING. THIS HAPPENS AT BOTH COLD START AND WHEN WARMED UP. AFTER SHE FIRES UP SHE RUNS LIKE A DREAM. PLUGS, FILTERS, CAP AND ROTOR ARE ALL NEW. I REPLACE EVERY YEAR BECAUSE IT MAKES ME FEEL BETTER. I AM THINKING THE CARB IS LOOSING FUEL AND HAS TOO CRANK AWHILE TO REFILL THE BOWL??? IS IT EVEN POSSIBLE FOR THE BOWL TO SIPHON BACK TO THE TANK? ANY INPUT WOULD BE APPRECIATED. THANKS TO ALL IN ADVANCE.
  3. THAKS TO ALL. ROADY, YOU HIT IT ON THE NOSE. I USED A HANDHELD METAL DETECTER TO LOCATE THEM. WHAT A BUGGER TO GET TO. FOUR SCREWS LATER IT LIFTED OUT. PLUS THE FOUR NUTS THAT WAS HOLDING THE BACKREST.
  4. I AM TRYING TO REMOVE MY PORT LOUNGE SEAT ON MY 1993 CHAPARRAL 24 SIGNATURE SO I CAN RECOVER IT. DOES ANYBODY KNOW THE PROCEDURE TO ACCOMPLISH THIS? I READ THAT THE 1995 24 SIGNATURE BOTTOM CUSION IS GLUED DOWN. I TRYED SLOWLY LIFTING UP WITH A FEW LONG PUTTY KNIVES. THE SEAT DID NOT MOVE. HAS ANYBODY EVER ACTUALLY REMOVED THE 93 SIGS LOUNGE SEAT. FEELS LIKE THERE MAY BE SCREWS HOLDING IT DOWN YET I CAN NOT FIND ANY. I HAVE NOT REMOVED THE ACCESS PANEL IN THE MID BERTH YET. TO MY UNDERSTANDING, THAT IS HOW TO REMOVE THE BACKREST OF THE LOUNGE SEAT. ANY INFO WOULD BE APPRECIATED. MAYBE A PICTURE OF THE LOUNGE REMOVED? I AM CONSIDERING BUYING SOME DYNAMITE TOMORROW.
