  1. I just had a new left side cushion made and and redid the center and right hand side cushions. These are the sundeck/engine access panels at the rear of a 1990 1900 SL Bowrider. When taking them off I noticed several loose/stripped screws where the hinge attaches to the fiberglass. Is there a quick and easy way to repair these holes? I've seen talk of filling with Marine-Tek or something and re-drilling a pilot hole? Would this work, or is there a better method?

    1990 Chaparral 1900 SL Documentation

Hey guys...new to boat ownership at any level, but just purchased a 1990 Chaparral 1900 SL this past weekend. Its an old boat, but appears to be in great condition for its age. Maybe I'll find out otherwise soon, who knows. Of course there are several minor things to work on: Horn doesn't work, missing speedo sender, battery drains on its own, fuel gauge needle bounces, broken exhaust bellows, etc... It has a 4.3 Yamaha engine and outdrive, which I understand are not made anymore. I was told the engine is really a GM engine with some Yamaha "stuff" added. What I'm really looking for is how to identify what equipment came on this boat and gather as many owners/service manuals as I can find. Can anyone help point me in the right direction?
