  1. Are there any directions including pictures on how to replace the cable that allows the premium seats to spin by lifting the handle? Thanks in advance for your help. Joe
  2. Help, has anyone replaced the cable on the premium seats with the lift handle to spin the seat. I notice there is a difference between the slide forward and backward adjustment. I need to replace the cable that spins the seat. I have the worst dealer no point in bringing back to them. Is there any directions on how to replace the cable mechanism. Do I order this from Dealer or can I go to Chaparral direct thus avoiding the terrible dealer. Sure would appreciate any help on this topic including pictures. Thanks in advance. Joe
  3. Hi folks, May I have your opinion: My 2011 244 Sunesta with a 300 hp Volvo and DP outdrive is winterized currently, my dealer says pulling the drive annually is not necessary any my Marina says the same. I have the engine serviced including h2o pump etc but, How often do y'all have your outdrives pulled on Volvo DP? thanks all Joe

Adding a Battery Charger to my 244 Sunesta

Hey thank you guys as always great information. I am currently running with a 2 battery system, using the one for starting and the second for when at anchor to run the music radio. When running, the system charges both (combiner is built into the 2 battery system). It's just that the distance between our favorite anchorage and our marina is not that far, thus the batteries don't get a chance to charge up that much. We always cruse before we anchor so, the batteries do get charged the next time we are out but, they (really just the one that is running the radio tends to stay in a depleted state) until next time I go out and they get charged. Richard, thanks, I will wait a bit before I purchase the charger from ProMariner or go with the Nautic as you suggested. Master Chief, we have the same boat and same engine, only differ in the year, (as a former Naval Aviator its always important to stay on the good side of a Master Chief!) Shepard, thanks for the comment, I know its a bit of an overkill to add the charger and isolator, just my aviation background to have redundant systems! Regards, Joe

Adding a Battery Charger to my 244 Sunesta

I was looking at the ProMariner chargers and found that they are hard to find they seem to be out of stock, then I went to the ProMariner web site where they indicate they are limited anyone know why?

    2003 Chaparral Sunesta 263

Congratulations Chap263! I have a 2010 244 Sunesta we love it. It is sleeping now in its shrink wrapped bed at the Marina. we can't wait for the spring time when we wake her up, I am thinking of adding a battery charger since my Marina has shore power located on the floating dock. last summer had a GPS and radio installed - Raymarine and ICOM fantastic! Stay safe, Joe
  8. has anyone ever added a battery charger to their smaller size boat with a battery switch and 2 batteries? I boat in salt water and the boat is kept in the salt water during the summer months. With the coming of our 5th season with the Sunesta, I know I have to replace the batteries so I thought I would replace the batteries, add a battery charger and galvanic isolator to hook into shore power at the marina dock. So what brands of each item - batteries, battery charger and isolator???
