  1. Hello! I have a Chaparral 260 2004 and I was cleaning the engine compartment when I noticed the lube oil container was half way down, I tracked and didn't see anything! until I checked the outdrive and saw a small leak! I look on youtube and they talk about replacing the gasket, which I believe It is to keep the bearing greased. any help here or recommendations. thank you so much. pictures are in the link if they can assist. https://flic.kr/p/2k1B9gp
  2. I am dealing with a problems with my 290 Signature. About a month ago, I opened my engine room hatch and discovered raw fuel in the bilge (about 2" deep). The boat has been secured and all of the fuel has been pumped out of the tank and through a series of tests we have confirmed it is the tank leaking. Chaparral and the dealer both say that the generator and both engines have to be removed and the forward firewall and aft berth floor cut and removed to get at the tank. Does anyone have any experience with replacing the tank in this model? Method? Pictures? Thanks, Goula Guy
  3. Hello There I have a 1993 Signature 29 that is on a trailer in my backyard, and about two weeks ago I notice water flooding the mid cabin and soaking the carpet. I lift the steps to get access to the hull, close to the sump pump and it had a lot of water. I drain using a bucket all the water (dark like coffee)and a week after the thing is almost full again with the same dark water. The water don't smell bad, so i wonder where it is coming from, there's no leaks in the roof or sides, everything is dry.. Please help me!!
