I'm looking at buying a 2011 Sunesta 224 with about 350 hours on the dash gauge. The motor is a Volvo Penta 5.7 GI-J 3869403 A 114295. My offer is conditional to inspection and the boat was looked over. In the process the boat is found to be very clean and well cared for. Good interior, a bit of wear that correlates appropriately with the age of the boat. There was a bit of an issue with dirty gear oil and the seal by the impeller was a little leaky but no really big deal there. I had the ECM looked at and the hours on the ECM matched the gauge. The issue is that the ECM and the gauge

Iām new to the forums but been reading a lot of good information but thought I might throw my situation out there and see what you guys had to say I recently bought a new 21ā Thunderjet Luxor OB OS (aluminum hard top fishing boat) with a new F200 Yamaha Outboard which has a recommended WOT of 5000-6000 rpms. I bought it at sea level and brought it up to 6500 ft. elevation (elevation sucks). So I have playing with props. I am currently running an aluminum 13p x 16ā prop getting the motor broke in. I installed trim tabs to help plain out. It runs at 5800 rpm at 34 mph at WOT. I would l

I recently purchased a 1998 Sig 260 with the 5.7 EFI Mercruise with the bravo III. Engine has 320 hours according to dash gauge. We used it 3 times and blew a head gasket. The mechanic has tore the engine down and basically rebuilt it. New rings, crank turned, new bearings, valve job, gaskets, starter, water pump and coupling. I still have not gotten it back and have no idea what this bill will be. The mechanic has asked me several times what RPM does this engine turn. I don't recall ever seeing over 4 thousand. We get on plane and cut the throttle back to about 2300 RPM. Cruise

i have a 4.3l LX mercuriser engine with a 3 blade SS 19p vengence prop. My buddy asked me about my WOT RPMS and he said i have the wrong pitch. WOT is 3600 RPMS plane / cruise 2800 RPMs roughly The engine was replaced in 2010 i believe with a new one. i read online my WOT should be around 4400-4800, and each inch down gives me 200 RPM? Should I run a 15 or 16p prop on my boat to fall inline with the engine requirements?

Hey folks, I did a search on here and google but could not find what I was looking for. I'm pretty sure I've seen the answer here but can't find it. 2006 190SSi 4.3L Volvo Anyway, the other day I noticed my RPM's where higher than normal at what I felt was cruise speed (30-32MPH on GPS). I was running close to 4200RPM when it is normally around 3200. WOT was Maybe 5400 which is well above the range of 4200-4600 which it should be. At idle in neutral I was about 800RPM, and with the switch off the gauge stayed at 800. There were no weird sounds and the engine didn't sound any different from
