  1. I'm looking at purchasing a signature 310 or 330 and would appreciate any info owners could offer. Has anyone added a cockpit tv? Has anyone added an extended swim platform? Is maintenance higher on the starboard engine due to lack of space in the engine compartment? Any common problems. Storage seems lacking. Where does the cabin table top store? Is there storage under the bed and seat below the motorized backrest. I've also seen storage compartments on the sides of the v berth and at the head of the v berth as well as in the floor below the table. Do these spaces offer good storage? Is there
  2. Hi, we recently got a 23 ssi with electric wake tower. Is there a way to keep the Bimini partially hooked up (around the top cylinder insert) and just 1 pole attached and not in the storage cover? We have kids and when we go out with them want the Bimini up for shade. When we go out without them we want it down/off, but it’s a pain to always switch back and forth. Currently we have the Bimini top folded in the storage cover and hooked up to wake tower with the straps and 1 pole inserted. But that is just for storage and that’s not a shortcut for reinstalling. Any shortcu
  3. I have a 2016 H20 sport 21' and in the ski storage locker located between the captain and passenger seat will not drain. There is a drain in the aft wall however the problem is that the fuel tank is pushed up so close to the drain hole that it prevents any water from exiting into the bilge. I have contacted Chaparral about this and they sent me an email with pictures of how to fix. They show to drill a hole in the locker floor board just in front of the hole on the wall and that should do it. However, I have drilled into the floor 3 1/2" and it did not open up. I did not want to drill any deep
  4. Hi Chap Owners, I know this poll can vary based on geographics, however I have been searching for indoor storage extensively and can't find anything in my area that would be reasonable. I would really like to find a permanent indoor winter storage solution, however most are raking people over the coals as far as cost. What is resonable for most ?? Thanks for your guidance! My wife is going to kill me if I don't stop talking about mancaves.com. Any suggestions are highly appreciated!
  5. I have a 1998 Chaparral 1830 SS Limited Edition. It has always been stored indoors in a warehouse. We are going to be moving it to Minnesota and want to store it in a standard two car garage with a standard two car garage door. It is on a single axle Heritage trailer. My biggest concern is whether it will be able to fit through the door because of the height of the windshield with the boat on the trailer. My question is how hard is it to lower or remove the windshield? Are there any do or dont's? Any tips or tricks for garage storage of this type and size boat. Thank you.

    deck boat

I have a 1999 233 deck boat the forward storage compartment is holding water, for the life of me I cannot figure out how the water is supposed to exit the compartment I sure could use some help
  7. My question is in regards to my 2013 H2O 19' Sport. I have an access door with storage on the starboard side under the windshield. On the port side, there is a a similar area, but there is no access door. I was curious if anyone has cut out hole and installed an new access door to increase storage on the boat. I contacted the local Chaparral dealer and they said that they could do it and install the same factory door used on the starboard side. But they said they weren't too sure on much storage space would be available. I was hoping someone has done this already and could post some
  8. I know we have threads on here concerning oil and winter storage practices. Originally my boat was going to be stored in a climate controlled building. Temperature would never go below 50 degrees. So I contacted my local marina and had them do a complete winter storage maintenance on it (oil change with Mobil Synthetic, new filters, fuel stabilizer, and added coolant to the system to prevent corrosion). Well plans changed and I was not able to store it in a climate controlled environment. It was stored indoors; however, the facility was not climate controlled so the boat was

    Custom Cover

I've been looking for a cover for our 2003 200ssi and I can't seem to find one that fits all of our needs. I'm looking for a full mooring cover to protect the boat while it sits at the house from sun and dust during the summer. I've tried a couple of the different universal covers but they just don't fit all that well. Also i'm looking for something that can be trailer-ed. Has anyone ever dealt with Ameritex Fabric Systems. I put in an email to a dealer in the area for a replacement cover and that is who they recommended. I'm a little nervous ordering such an expensive cover online but I'm hav
  10. I have a 1999 Signature 25 Cruiser that i bought used a couple of years ago. I've gotten several pieces of conflicting advice on the proper Electrical Panel and Battery Selector switch positions when using the internal battery charger to charge the battery when I have it out of the water for the winter and in its nice, warm, weather-protected garage. My "boat guy" says: Shore Power plugged in to 110 Volt AC Battery Selector Switch to "Both" AC Main to "On" AC Battery Charger to "On" DC Main to "On" That just seems like it's a lot of stuff "On", and I was won
  11. Hi Everyone, I'm in the middle of building a house and have been seriously contemplating the purchase of an H2O 21 Ski & Fish. My concern is that I'm going to buy the boat and get it home to find out I can't squeeze it in the garage. If that's the case, I'll be out additional funds due to off site storage and would regret my purchase. Do most of you store this boat in your garage? If so, what height is the opening on your door? Also, I'd love the tower but I think that may be pushing it. The house is being built with 7' garage doors. What do you think? Thanks!!
  12. I was reading some posts the other day trying to get advice on this and that regarding maintenance and upkeep, and I kept finding mentions of peoples' 'boat boxes". You know, that box of things you collect onboard after one project or another. I came to understand that most peoples' "boat boxes" are the result of many many seasons of maintenance, upkeep, transporting, cleaning, and repairing usually more than one boat over the years. So, from a veteran to a relative newbie, tell: What goes into your boat box? What stuff do you keep on board that you would never pull the trailer out of the dr
  13. Hi Chap Owners, Does anyone know of any references anywhere in the Rocky Mountain region for indoor storage? Looking to see if I can get some indoor storage this winter and willing to drive into Wyoming/Kansas. Anyone have a barn and looking for extra cash??
  14. I will be driving up to the Marina where my boat sits on a lift and is covered for the colder months. My typical tasks are pretty simple. 1. Check to make sure that nobody has touched my pretty lady or my boat locker. 2. Check that the lift is floating correctly and has all the air it needs for the 3 tank system. 3. Check on my cover to make sure that there are no tears or critter issues. 4. Make sure that my onboard battery charger is still plugged in and that it has power. Question. FYI - the boat has been winterized. The weather in North Central Arkansas has been holding steady in sub zero
