  1. Hi everyone, I have done a lot of reading and research on these smart tabs including this forum and they sound like a no brainer. I just want to make sure I choose the correct one's. From what I read a lot of people are saying to use one size down from what is recommeded from Nauticus? I talked to Greg from Nauticus and he insists on using the SX9510-80 for my boat and not going with a smaller lb actuator. What are your experiences and suggestions? Also, Do these things get in the way when in shallow water or beaching senarios? I just cringe at the thought of ripping these off the boat. I see they sell the trim plate retracter kit. I would assume this would solve any possible issues. My boat normally planes out just fine but when I put a bunch of gas and people in it is when I have longer planing out times that bother me so I am hoping this will be the best(cheapest) solution. Thanks in advance for any replies and help. Gerid
  2. Finally overcame my fear of drilling Gelcoat and installed the trim tabs. WOW! Handling is dramatically improved. The bow hardly rises on hole shot, and nose wandering at idle speed is non-existent. I can't tell if top speed has improved because I am working some water out of the gas tank, but I can tell by feel that planing time and speed have improved. I can highly recommend the mod.
