    H2O 21 Sport - Anchor Size

Hello, does anyone know what the exact stock width of the anchor for the H2O 21 Sport is? I got a performance 2 fluke anchor as a replacement from WestMarine and the stock was much longer. I heard that cutting the stock shorter is not necessarily the best option due to the galvanization. The Chaparral web page shows “Horizon Anchors”, but I can’t find anything of this company.

    Best cruiser for liveaboard

After owning our boat for only 6 months, we may have the opportunity to move to Florida, and the liveaboard question came up. Obviously a 350 Signature is a tad small for us. So here are our contenders so far, if the move was to happen; - Regal 5260 - Beneteau 49 GT - Cruiser Cantius 45 (the best located galley) but the smallest - Cruiser 540 express Which one would you live on and why? Any suggestions and advices are all welcome! thanks

    Best cruiser to live aboard

After owning our boat for only 6 months, we may have the opportunity to move to Florida, and the liveaboard question came up. Obviously a 350 Signature is a tad small for us to actually live aboard. So here are our contenders so far, if the move was to happen; - Regal 5260 - Beneteau 49 GT - Cruiser Cantius 45 (the best located galley) but the smallest - Cruiser 540 express There are a few others interesting boats out there, Azimut 43 and 47, Sunseeker 50 Camargue and so many more Which one would you live on and why? Any suggestions and advices are all welcome! thanks

    H2O Height on Trailer

Hi Everyone, I'm in the middle of building a house and have been seriously contemplating the purchase of an H2O 21 Ski & Fish. My concern is that I'm going to buy the boat and get it home to find out I can't squeeze it in the garage. If that's the case, I'll be out additional funds due to off site storage and would regret my purchase. Do most of you store this boat in your garage? If so, what height is the opening on your door? Also, I'd love the tower but I think that may be pushing it. The house is being built with 7' garage doors. What do you think? Thanks!!

    Anchor recommendation

I have a 2001 216 SSI and an anchor similar to this: Slip-Ring Fluke Anchor for Boat Length to 22', 11lb., Blue mfg part#669-11-ZR http://www.westmarine.com/greenfield-products--color-coated-slip-ring-fluke-anchors--P005_153_001_503 I'm normally in the Sacramento River which has a fast current and a muddy bottom. My anchor never holds me in the mud but does ok in the rare occasion that I snag some plants or rocks. I'm usually loaded up pretty heavy with passengers and ice chests so I'd say I'm typically around 5,000lbs when floating with a full tank. I read that fluke anchors work well in sand and mud so do I just need a larger fluke anchor and perhaps one without that soft PVC coating? Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks.

    Sunesta rail diameter...?

I'm looking to buy a rail mount adapter for my Magma grill. So I am wondering if anyone happens to know the diameter of the front rail of the 284 Sunesta? I assume its the same as the 244 and 264 models as well. I'd measure it myself but its going to be a few days before I head to the marina again. Below photo lists the 3 different size ranges. Has anyone used this mount and if so, what are your thoughts on it? Thanks in advance! Tom
  7. Just ordered a 2013 264 Sunesta and we are very excited for it to arrive. However, after spending some time on the forum, I'm second guessing my engine choice. I ordered VP 320, based on our salespersons recommendation. He stated that we would be very happy with the 320 hp engine. I also added trim tabs to assist in plaining. My concern is that we will always run the boat at about 4500' elevation, usually with a boat load of teens wanting to raft, ski, kneeboard, and wakeboard. The salesperson spoke to the Chaparral rep and confirmed that this setup would be just fine and not really worth the $ upgrade to the 380 hp. Here's my experience with our past boat. A 2004 Four Winns Horizon 230 with VP Gxi 5.7 320 hp single prop. Lots of prop issues, never really solved, but ended up with an adequate prop that had good hole shot, but only a top speed of about 35 mph. I know that having the dual props and trim tabs on the new 264 will help all the way around, but the 230 weighs about a 1000 pounds less that the 264. With this being a $ boat, am I making the right choice with the 320 hp vs. 380 hp? Thanks for your thoughts!
