  1. I am looking at purchasing a new boat lift and after researching for weeks I am thinking about going with the HydroHoist Boat Lifts Harborhoist. Seen hundreds of positive reviews on different forums and site.. Does anybody else have this model?? What are your thoughts
  2. My boat lift has 2 2by 12s to lift the boat . i would think building like a trailer would be better . Would be built on an angle so during entry you would hit the planks and winch the last few feet . The planks are wider on a trailer and some have rollers .
  3. In search for the best way to keep a new-not-yet-purchased H2O at our dock, I started looking at boat davits. Has anyone any experience of keeping their boat up on davits? I think this system would work perfect with the concrete pilings at my dock. What would be the mounting points on the back of the boat? Something like this:
  4. I found an old (2013) thread about the Sunstream V-Lift boat lift, but nothing since then. Anyone here have one or have experience with it? If you can see the picture in my signature, I need a totally portable lift solution. My boat is docked from May to September in fresh water and our lake has floating docks that get pulled for the winter. Also no power at all to the dock. V-lift seems like a perfect solution as it's 100% self contained, can be towed and pulled, and is solar powered. New they are about ten grand, but I've seen a used one for six. I can't seem to find anything else that's an exact comparison. Thanks, Ryan http://www.sunstreamcorp.com/project/vlift-air-displacement-boat-lift/
  5. My question is how big of deal is it to have a covered lift on my slip, or could I get by with just a lift that is not covered? Im in Indiana and the boat will be on a lift from probably May to September. I have a bow and cockpit cover as well as a full cover for the boat. anyone have any opinions?
