The body shop I work at fixed up a crack and painted the side of a 226 ssi for a customer. It took a long while but we got it all done and ready, but in the process of putting the canvas back on the top of it, a prop bar for the back canvas fell (only about 3 feet) and broke. The part that broke is the clamp that you undo to adjust the prop rod height, it snapped in half. I really need to replace this for him because He just bought the boat and its in brand new condition. I've looked around and the only thing i've found is you can buy a whole new canvas for the boat for around $950. The quest
Hey guys im new to this forum. I have a 2002 183ss and this summer we were out on the lake and the anchor door latch handle broke and the door was stuck in the closes position. After looking at it for hours trying to pry it open, i was forced to break the latch handle. During this, I chipped the fiberglass and it looks like garbage. I know i can get a fiberglass repair kit but does anyone know where i can get a new door. I attatched pictures off the chaparralboats.com "PARTS IDENTIFICATION GUIDE INDEX" http://forum.chaparr...at/2002/183.pdf It looks like i need #1 (183SS Anchor Lid) Part
Hey again, Quick question. The speedometer on my boat would intermittently stop working(It lights up on the dash), but the needle doesn't move at all, but after a day or two on the water it would always fix itself and go back to normal and start working again. For the past few times out, it's been completely dead. Someone told me to clean something or other, but i have no idea where that is and if i can do it while still in the water. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks all!!! 2009 Signature 280 -Craig
