Faria Depth gauge has red lights ??

My depth gauge has red lights on ( below and above the digital LCD numeric readout ) on my Faria Depth Gauge . The manual for this gauge (that came with the boat) says NOTHING about these red lights . I am not violating either of my set depth limits ( upper or lower ) . Looking for any info. I have turned the gauge off and on - red lights still on . Red lights are on at a stand still and when going any speed . Thanks for any input . 2018 H20 21 Sport 22 hours
  2. I thought some might want to see specifically, what is involved in a mechanical inspection. I bought my boat in May and had it inspected as a condition of purchase. So, below is a copy of my actual inspection report. It was not possible for me to test drive the boat before making the commitment, but the inspection was more important in my mind. I discovered it is fantastic when I did finally get it on the water. I got a great deal, and I am delighted with my boat. I repaired everything mentioned in the report. It had 80 hours on it, and I have since added another 40 hours! The only thing not found (or not looked for) was the depth gauge; it gets power- the light comes on when I power on the depth rocker switch but no digits of any kind appear in the display. Does this mean the gauge is toast? Or am I missing something obvious. Thanks! Chapparal Inspection Form.pdf
