    Engine Oil Pan Needs Replaced

A few weeks ago, I finally diagnosed the engine oil leak (with the help of a remote inspection camera). I found that there was rust where the drain tube attaches, enough to cause a slow but steady drip of oil into the bilge. I tried to seal it without an engine pull and of course it didn't work. Question: approximately how many hours does this job take? I found a good marine mechanic whose rate is $85 per hour but I've no idea how many hours are involved. I'm just trying to get a good idea of what the damage will be. I have a 2005 Sunesta 216 with a Mercruiser 5.0 MPI, 105 hours. On a side note, I can't believe that the drain pain is not coated (with undercoating or similar) to avoid this type of easily avoidable problem. Thanks so much for your help.
