Put our boat on the water Saturday for the first time this summer. Just got it back from the dealer where it was serviced and detailed. Bad squeak coming from engine, believe it is associated with the belt system. Louder when idling but still there when in motion.
I have twin Mercruiser 4.3 and and all of a sudden the starboard engine is running at higher rpms than the port engine. At full throttle I'm getting about 4800 rpm on the starboard and 4100 on the port engine. I'm curious what would cause this, both engines seem to be running well and I don't feel a lot of pull on the starboard side, in fact my sync gauge shows that the port engine is pulling a little stronger. Thoughts?
I have a Chaparral SSI204 with a 5.0 Volvo engine. It started making a high-pitched sound. We started to take off and it cut out. I started it back up and the engine was surging. Temp did not go up. Does this sound like a fuel pump problem? I just filled it up with premium non ethanol gas. Thanks
I have a 2008 Chaparral SSI204 with a Volvo 5.0. The engine started making a high-pitched sound and then cut off. I re-started it and it was surging. The rpms were going up and down. Does this sound like a fuel pump problem? I just filled it up with premium non-ethanol gas. Thanks
