  1. Hello everyone, I'm new to the group and am seeking some info about the problem I'm having with the boat. I am wondering if anyone has experienced this before and what the cause was. Both engines are acting the same. I have very little horsepower max 2500rpm when trying to plane. It just plows. It will eventually plane, but it takes way to long. It sit at 2500rpm for a bit , then the rpms start to slowly go up. So once on plane, it runs about 3300rpm at 28-30mph. which is what it should run and it runs great. When I go WOT 4000 to4200rpm max at 38mph. It should and has went 45to50mph at 5200rpm. My first thought was bad gas, but I can rule that out now after running a couple tanks of gas and different additives. This was something that happened after leaving a 2 night outing on the lake. It ran great on our way out, but wouldn't plane on our way in. It has Bravo3 drives and 5.7 MPI engines. We just bought the boat in the fall of last year, so this is our first season with it. Our mechanic did full tune ups, impellors and fuel filters in the spring and new bottom paint before going in the water. It ran great for approx. 6 weeks before this issue. Our mechanic came out with me and did full scans and fuel pressure tests while on plane. Everything was showing normal. The only common denominator is that it only has one tank of fuel and both engines are sluggish. He is now going to pull the fuel injectors and fuel rail and send them out for cleaning. Has anyone experienced this problem before and what was the resolution?
