  1. I decided I would write up a post on how to use the Image Album to upload and post pictures in to posts very easily since it seems to be a big issue on here. So, step by step follows. In the images, the Yellow highlighted portion is showing you where to click or what to fill in. Step 1: Create a new Image Album. You do this by clicking on the +Create drop down on the top right side of the banner of the website. Step 2: Click on the "Gallery Image" option from the +Create drop down list. Step 3: You now go to the screen to start create the image Album. Select "Boating Pictures" from the "Select Category" drop down list: Step 4: Create a new album. You must name the Album. You do NOT need to enter in a description if you do not want to. Once done, click on the "Create New Album" button. Step 5: Upload pictures to your new album. You can drag and drop images from your computer, or click on "Choose Files" and select images on your computer, or phone or tablet if you are using that, that you want to upload. Step 7: The site will upload your images and process them. It may take a few minutes for it to complete. Step 8: Edit information about each image. You can skip this step if you with by clicking "Finish Editing Images" in the lower left hand corner. Step 9: If you skip editing images, you get this popup warning. It is ok to just click "OK" to continue. Step 10: Your images are now uploaded to your new Album! You can always add more images by click the "Add Images" button! Step 11: You can access your albums from your profile by clicking on the "Albums" tab. Step 12: When you are writing or responding to a post, you can now add images from your albums. On the lower right of the posting window, click on the "Insert other media" drop down and select "Insert existing attachment" Step 13: You can now select one or more pictures you have in your albums to be included in the post. Just click on an image the the checkmark turns green. Select all you want to add. the click "Insert # Selected" in the lower left. Your images you will appear in your post or reply. That is it. All images used in this post were done using this method.

Pictures of My Chaparral 215 SSi

I just realized that I never posted ANY pictures of my 2004 Chaparral 215 SSi since I joined this forum. I don't have many pictures because I purchased the boat in late August, but here ya go: I've added a safety chain, new 10,000lbs. strap and a spare tire since this picture. Motor, bilge, and engine compartment are in really good condition. I would never have made this purchase if they weren't. Motor and boat only have 314 hours on them. I will post more pictures later of the cuddy, interior, and cockpit. Jake

    Florida snow ...

... or as close as it gets in Florida. The first winter in my lifetime without even a flake of snow ... weird!

    Summer Fun!

With everyone posting pictures and videos of their excursions in a bunch of different threads, I think we need a dedicated thread for summer time pictures and videos! I'll begin! So, in June we took the Chap to the keys for the second time. This time we stayed 6 days, 5 nights and kept the Chap in a slip. We snorkeled, cruised, watched sunsets, ate out, and just had a great time! Unfortunately, my waterproof camera broke on the second day so I could only get underwater footage on the first day. So, our itinerary looked something like: Day 1) trailer down and go for a sunset cruise, Day 2) Go out to snorkel Alligator Reef and Lighthouse, Day 3) cruise around Florida Bay and relax before docking at a restaurant for dinner, Day 4) Drive 45+ miles each way on the bay and ocean to Sombrero Reef and Lighthouse, Day 5) Go back to Alligator Lighthouse and then go for a sunset cruise, Day 6) Cruise around some more and then go home! Our camera broke on day 4 right before our dive. I did make a nice video of our adventures on day 2 though! It's a little long, but it was hard to cut out a lot of footage because it is pretty good. You old guys probably won't like the first song, but around 3:30 on, the songs calm down a bit LOL. Try to watch in 1080P! People in our party did see a big reef shark and a smaller hammerhead. I didn't see either, but I did see numerous nurse sharks. Like usual, the sharks are disinterested and very used to divers/snorkelers and know that we are neither food, nor a threat. Anyways, here are some additional pictures! Our boats little brother Alligator Lighthouse Our 2130 The admiral and I at sunset

    The Sunset Thread

Dusk is nearly the best time to be out on the boat as the lakes are starting to calm and the sky blooms all sorts of beautiful colors. Post your best sunset photos in this thread. Photos should either be taken from your boat or (bonus) include your boat. Here are two I snapped on Monday night (I wanted to get a photo of the whole boat in a shot, but the water is still too freakin' cold!):
  6. Here are some pics from our long (in miles) short (in time) trip to Cobourg Ontario Canada ... Cobourg Marina and Heritage Harbour panorama, a bit misleading 270 degree view of the site (click on the image to enlarge) ...
  7. Sorry for the double post but editing the contents -- this is Part 2 USS LST-325, the only remaining active WW2 LST craft that docked at Decatur the weekend of July 4 to open for tours. I recommend the tour if you ever get a chance - they don't make 'em like that anymore.... Lake Guntersville between Guntersville, Alabama and Scottsboro, Alabama -- a sailing club regatta and a couple of sunset shots as we headed back to the dock and to home. http://youtu.be/Nizho77bDw4 Last sunset shot - not the Tennessee - Sunset shot on Grace Bay, Providenciales Island, Turks & Caicos where the Admiral and I celebrated our 30th anniversary. A GREAT trip if you are looking for a quiet trip with no bars, nightlife, casinos, or hustle-bustle of thousands of Europeans. Maximum chill time is the watchword....
  8. A few pics from a typical day aboard the Pura Vida on the Tennessee. Shots are from Lake Pickwick between Memphis and Florence, Lake Wheeler between Florence and Decatur, and Lake Guntersville outside of Scottsboro, Alabama. The pictures were taken between July 4 and September 28. Second set of pictures has the same topic title but is tagged "Part 2 of 2" Atypical Lakehouses - most are much more modest than this, but we do get some statement homes Heading upriver to Florence past Natchez Trace (part of the Trail of Tears), the Bluffs of Sheffield, Alabama (my hometown) across from Florence and Oneal Bridge that connects the two cities The marina at Joe Wheeler State Park Lodge and Pura Vida docked while we go in for the seafood buffet, a view of the pool area on the waterfront at sunset
