My Quicksilver trim control only works one way. It puts the legs down. to raise the legs i need to use the trailer switch. the switches on the hand throttle appear in good order and connections are ok.....i doubt that both switches would be faulty. i recently serviced the drive units and noticed a wire connected to a sensor type thing on the pivot point of the units. could this be the problem. if so where can i read about it.
my mercruiser twin is equipped with an Audio warning System. The buzzer sounds when the key is turned on and is supposed to stop when the engine starts. The mercruiser manual says it indicates l.1. low oil pressure. 2. high tempeture 3. low drive lubricant. All three are ok. where is the alarm located and what else should i be considering. Everything else runs good except for the high screeching buzzer. Thanks in advance.
Hi Folks, I'm new to this forum because I'm very close to buying a used 1997 Signature 31. I'm still waiting to do the sea trail and survey, but It has a few problems right off the bat that need attention. First, the cabin door is really difficult to open. Looks like the track, on the locking side is gauged a bit. You have to push in at the bottom and lift to get the door to open... and it's still pretty hard to slide. Once the door is 4 inches or so open, it works fine. Second, the back flip down seat is detaching from it's mounts... which are stripped out and cracked. Anyone know what fixing these problems may cost? We are all really liking this boat. Any info or things to look for on this model would be greatly appreciated. It's a twin 5.7 with a Westerbeke generator. Best, Paul
