So I've been interested in a wakesetter boat to try wakesurfing for years, but they don't seem practical at all. Outside of towsports, the wakesurf specific boats don't appear to be good for much else. So when I came across the Chaparral surf series at the boat show this year I was intrigued. I guess, they've been around for a few years, but I hadn't seen them. Now I'm thinking it may be the way to go. You can enjoy wakesurfing and other water sports, but also enjoy a more traditional runabout. My question is whether anyone that has one has any feedback on how well they work for wakesurfing- both adults and kids? I'm looking at either the 23 H20, or more likely the 246 SSI. I'm just curious if anyone has feedback on how the wake shapes up. It is a lot of money to put in to a boat that has very little in the way of reviews, outside of Chaparral's marketing. Thanks for any feedback you might have!
Hi everyone. I'm a newbie here and, well, this is my very first post. I'm looking for a nice used Xtreme. Preferably 2009 - 2011 244 but would consider 224 or even 264 if it was the right boat, and price. I'm located near Toronto, ON but willing to travel reasonable (or even maybe unreasonable) distance for the right boat. Any insight or help would be much appreciated as I've scoured the www and coming up (mostly) empty handed.
I am very interested in the vortex 22 or 24 footer (preferably 22 due to price) with the surf platform. I haven't seen any of these on my lake and I know they are hard to find. I am hoping for feedback regarding the quality of the wake in terms of wake surfing. Compared to a good inboard (newer one with surf tabs), that is.... Will it produce a crisp wake? Large enough wake to drop the rope, etc.? I would appreciate any feedback. Also, how loud is this boat compared to a stern drive? Thanks.
Read all the info on the Sunesta Sold our Ski Centurion for more room. I have a big block, trim tabs and tower on my boat. I can't seem to get a good even wake on the Sunesta. Just a lot of wash out. Does any one have some ideas for me. I;m thinking of ballast bags? This boat is suppose to have a great wake. Any help would be appreciated
