charlie_dee
Anybody know how to access the wiring for the overhead cabin lights in a 2000 Chaparral 300? The switch is good but the lights don't go on. Maybe a short somewhere in the upholstered overhead. Any ideas of how to get to the wiring?
Whalersailor
Do you have power at the switch? If so, go to the fixture and check for voltage there. If no voltage at the switch, trace it back from there. Highly doubt the open is in the headliner wiring only because the wires are generally undisturbed, more likely it's at the breaker, switch or the fixture. That said, someone may have tampered with it in the headliner, but why would they do that? Good luck Charlie.
