Trim tabs yes or no?

I just bought a 2004 254 sunestia with the 5.7 gxi this last winter so im just getting it out the boat preforms great but i was wondering if trim tabs would give the boat more control planing and handling chop

Im also on that fence. I have a new 19'6 h20 with 220hp merc.

On a flat day the hole shot is fine. However this weekend heading in to the wind and chop from an idol with 3 adults on board I could not get it to plane the bow cam up so high I thought there was somthing on the prop.

Im not sure if I should bother with smart tabs or just go for trim tabs.

I should also mention that above cruzing seed if i trim up just the slightest bit I get a bouncy Bow.
