Premier Chap 40/42

5 posts in this topic

I was looking at one of these boats and it is really nice but very expensive. Does anyone out there own one and can share their experience with it? What do you like or not? How is the fuel economy?
Thanks

Capt. Gary

I never oend a Premier, but if you are worried about the fuel economy, then you most likely cannot afford the boat.

I think if you own any size boat, you shouldn't worry at all about the fuel! Boats are not exactly designed to be fuel efficient. They do provide a lifetime of memories, adventure and many new friendships.

Not sure what the fuel comsumption is on the Premier, but the pod drives are suppose to have about a 30 to 40% improvement over straight drive at higher speeds. I like the Premier, but the pond that I boat in the Premier would be way too much boat. If we don't get rain around here, my 330 is going to turn into a cabin with no lake front. If I was on a ocean then either a 45 Formula or the 420 Premier, have looked at both and the 45 Formula is above the Chap, but it also cost more.
