Made the call to my hauler today, season ends on November 1st :(

This past weekend was our last "live-aboard" for the year, woke up to a fantastic sunrise...

Plus four hours this past week. Pulled Hugs for maintenance and lube job this week. Hopefully, we will make it past Turkey Day and into December before closing for the year. Last year, we logged 94 hours. This year thus far, only 58 hours. However, we have time left before the cold weather sets in. Thank goodness we don't live in the Chicago area. It would be great to spend Christmas on the water.

88 here last Saturday. Temps have been up and down though. Should stay out until early November. Biggest problem is no lakes close by with water left in them. Have to drive an hour and a half.

P.S.-Members in Florida and the gulf states need NOT respond to this post!!!

You do realize that you're in the Midwest forum and that by reporting your pleasant weather, you're really rubbing it in to the guys that watched snow flakes fall yesterday.

I winterized on Monday. Snowflakes were falling on Wednesday.

Finally had to pull the plug, so to speak, yesterday and they should be hauling her today for winterization. Our last two times out to the marina we just cleaning and unloaded stuff (way too much)so she would be ready for shrinkwrap, but never left the dock. Water is down to the mid-40's and it's been windy with air temps in the 40's. It's always a sad day, especially knowing that we have to wait until about May 1 for ice-out here in Minnesnowta. Won't be long now when the motorcycle has to be put up as well - no toys for the winter. :-(
