Vinyl cleaners?

Recommended Posts

Just wondering what you use to clean your vinyl seats. I was using the product that was suggested when we bought our boat this year but I find it has actually caused some reddish, pink marks on the seats that are impossible to remove.

Would soap & water with a good scrub brush work. I don't want to use anything too harsh. Also, what would be a good cleaner for the hull?

Thanks!

I use the 3M Vinyl cleaner, like the way it doesn't leave the vinyl oily. http://www.amazon.com/3M-Cleaner-Conditioner-Protector-8-Ounce/dp/B000R4PFFO

For the hull if just washing it use just about any type of good boat wash. If it is getting stains out of the nonslip surfaces use Starbrite nonslip cleaner, it is the best for that. http://www.amazon.com/Starbrite-Non-skid-Deck-Cleaner-Protector/dp/B003CYTNPY

I've always had good results from Star Brite products, especially the vinyl cleaner. Hull wash was pretty good, too. Tried some Atwood hull wash this season (was running short on time and that's what WalMart had) and haven't been impressed.....just avoid the dish washing liquid and auto washes. The degreasers in them aren't good for the gel coat......
