Winterize 2006 sig 276 volvo penta engine raw water drain plug port side

Hello

Went to winterize boat today and drain port side of engine block through the raw water drain. There is a wire attached to the drain so I am not sure how to drain it as easy as the starboard side which was a brass fitting. Any suggestions please?

I have the same boat. Mine has a 5.7 VP but no wire attached to a drain.

What engine and do you have a pic?

Sounds like the knock-sensor. Some models use them as the drain plugs. Unplug the wire, then unscrew the sensor to drain the block. When tightening, the torque is critical so you'll need a torque wrench. 12-16 ft lbs.
