buzzman
HelloWent to winterize boat today and drain port side of engine block through the raw water drain. There is a wire attached to the drain so I am not sure how to drain it as easy as the starboard side which was a brass fitting. Any suggestions please?
Lowflyer
I have the same boat. Mine has a 5.7 VP but no wire attached to a drain. What engine and do you have a pic?Cheers,
951Tom
Sounds like the knock-sensor. Some models use them as the drain plugs. Unplug the wire, then unscrew the sensor to drain the block. When tightening, the torque is critical so you'll need a torque wrench. 12-16 ft lbs.
