Table Rock soon!

Recommended Posts

We will be traveling to Table Rock in just a few days.

Anything new we need to look for while we are there? We always hit Koppies, Coyote Dockside and Charlie's Steak, Ribs and Ale while we are there.

Tim:

It appears that you stay around Kimberling City based on the lakeside dining selections.

If you head down lake toward Shell Knob, the Campbell Point Marina ( between MM 20 and 21 ) has been remodeled and has a large full service fuel dock and retail store ( beer also ). Behind the marina is Harlow's Lakeside Grill ( the old Port Grill ) which has new management, new menu and music weekend evenings. Have a good trip.

Thanks!

We plan on going down to that part of the lake a bit more this year. I really don't know it very well, but it should be fun to explore.

Hello Tim,

What activities are you looking for? Mainly restaurants accessible by water?

Doesn't have to be just restaurants. Just looking for fun things to see and do on the lake. We like to cruise, so I don't mind exploring new areas.

Some additional places to visit West of Kimberling City:

The Swings, across from Aunts Creek. The Island between point 10 and 11, Island across from Cedar Hollow.  New barbecue shack at Hideaway Marina--also some of the cheapest gas on lake. Cliffs at Baxter for jumping. Flat Creek resort/restaurant end of lake in Cape Fair. New Restaurant at Kings River Marina-Carmelina's. In Kimberling-The Rocks Lakeside Grill which is now Iguana Roja.

Some additional places to visit East of Kimberling City:

Lakeside Resort and Restaurant, Big Cedar Lodge, The Lakehouse Bar--no dock have to anchor, Chateau and Moon Shine Beach, D'Monaco Resort & Restaurant, Cricket Creek Marina at end of lake, cliffs across from Long Creek, cliffs across from Indian Point, Dewey Short Visitor Center at Dam.

Just came back from The Rock. Stayed at the POK Hotel in Kimberling City, it was nice as usual. Went to Harlows for lunch. Got there early enough to beat the crowd. Food was cold and unimpressive. Liked it better when it was Port Grill. Iguana Roja had good food and margaritas but service was slow. I think they are still trying to get through the changeover. Some of our favorite food is at Fish Tales Tavern in the strip center in Kimberling City across from Harter House. It's not accessible by water, though. Saw a restaurant by the water along Coney Island. Is that the Lakeside Resort?

tomnjoe,

There are two restaurants over at Coney Island in the cove across from Point 7. Sharkey's Pizza which isn't very good and Lakeside Resort--highly recommend.

Saw them both, I forgot about the pizza sign. Many years ago at LOTO we got some pizza on the water. We tied up to the dock, went in and ordered, and they started pulling frozen pizzas out of plastic paper. Really??

We stayed at Lakeside many, many years ago. We will have to try the restaurant next time.

Just got back from a week of Table Rock. Great experience (except for the last day, see thread in main section for details if you are interested). Here are a few photos.
