1997 180LE gas lift cylinders for engine hatch

Hi all,

Referbing a 97 180LE.   Does anyone know the number for the original lift cylinders that raise the engine hatch?   I thought they were 4408 and bought a couple but they're so stiff and strong (130 lb) that they torqued the bracket mount out of the cover when I tried to lower it.
