Anchor wash down

Recommended Posts

Greetings boaters,

I would like to have warm water at the anchor locker to wash down the rode upon retreival. Has anyone ever plumbed this? What type spigot would you recommend?

I just lifted 1/2 way up & did slow speed forwards for about 1 or 2 minutes. Clean. Varies if thick, sticky, clay bottom

Most of the time when they add a anchor wash down it gets the water from overboard. To do it just need a pump to 12 volts and a hose to the locker.

I just pull the anchor up and down into the water. OR wash it when I wash the boat down when we get back into the slip.

You could install a wash down pump too.

I wash it at retrieval by going up and down.  That way my anchor and locker are clean

Why does it need to be warm water?

To prevent Ice build up obviously.
