FYI, water temp 76f on Sass

Recommended Posts

Was neck deep in the Chesapeake yesterday, water temp a perfectly acceptable 76f. Was only 69f a week ago. Today should be even warmer.

Get out there!

76 would be amazing! I was out on my new Waverunner but with water temp only at 65 I was way more cautious than usual.

I like a lot warmer than that.

Low 80s would be my preference. Above that, which happens during hot summers in shallow Chesapeake coves, and I worry about the nasty creepy crawly bacterias that wake up. We keep neosporin on board and make everyone with open wounds slather it on generously after getting out.

Floated off Havre De Grace yesterday, it felt chilly but nice.

Dunno, but that's more commonly known as Cabin John and a few of my buddies go there often, so I assume pretty safe depths.
