Let's have a happy thread !

I know, with owning a boost, it's hard for many to be happy.

Our 1999 2330 SS, is our 3rd boat. We still have 3.

The Searay is sidelined right now, with a won't go into gear issue.

Other than that, the other 2, run fine, everything works, no noises, no leaks, and are enjoying the crap out of them.

We are happy boat owners !!

This weekend, the 2330, will be taking us out to the pontoon boat, on the mooring ball.

Lazy, relaxing, weekend coming up.

I doubt it.

Too much doom and gloom.....

Bah humbug!  I have to wait for RayMarines back order of a transom mount. I may tape the transducer flat to the back of my transom just so I can go ahead and take the boat out. I shouldn't have jumped the gun and wired everything up already and I wouldn't be in this pickle but that's okay I'm still happy I'm getting my good unit on the boat. So HAPPY HAPPY!

Yes I'm a redneck hillbilly

Yeah. We avoid the lake July - Aug. The weather is better and the crowds less starting in Sept. We pretty much own the lake in Oct :)

That's why my family likes the North end of the Lake(way North), we mostly fish(kids aren't old enough for water sports yet).  We almost always launch at Farley, but did make one trip to Halls earlier.

I hope everyone will Drink, Steal, Swear and Lie this 4th of July!

Drink.....from the fountain of Life, making each day the best you possibly can

Steal.... time away from your job to spend more time with your family and friends

Swear....you will make tomorrow a better day

Lie.... in bed at night and thank God for allowing you to be a part of his plan

Wishing each of you a safe and happy 4th!

Well done all !

Glad to see we can talk happy times, instead of this and that don't work, etc.

Auggie,

I talked with Humminbird about my unit, and the transducer should work thru the hull.

They said to put it under the motor with a sandbag on it, and put enough water in, to vover it.

Launch, and see how it works.

If all is good, drain, clean, and dry the area.

Get some 24 hr curing epoxy, and stick it good.

My factory depth finder transducer is mounted like this.

I'm NOT, drilling holes in my 2330 to mount a transducer.

You may want to call Raymarine, and ask about your unit if you don't want to drill.

I'll be on the water this weekend, so that's always a happy day. By the way Splatt, I'll have to pick your brain on the 2330 SS. We have the same exact year & hull, but I think you may have a big block? I'll have plenty of questions over the next few weeks...

I removed a hummingbird and I'm going with this Raymarine unit but my puppy chewed up the mount for it so Raymarine has it on backorder and I have to wait for that but that's okay I have patience.

We may just tape the transducer to the transom and go out anyway I know the lake so I know where not to be but thanks

Okay I just called Raymarine and for the dragonfly series they do not recommend anything other than transom Mount or through hull which requires purchasing another type of transducer so I'll just wait until they get the mount in and mount my transducer on the transom
