Surviving the cold winter

Recommended Posts

Have all of you western Canadian Chap owners survived the cold winter? During this past long winter I began to question the effectiveness of my boat engine winterizing skills. I'm happy to report the engine survived the lengthy cold spells and is running just fine. :mandancing:

New here,

Winterizing is interesting ther in Canada isn't it. I have always pulled engine and manifold plugs, drained the lower hoses and put it all back together.  I made a bucket with a couple fittings and a short peice of hose and hook it to the fresh water hose ( volvopenta) and run -50 through. I do the genset and a/c the same. Never a problem yet. Domestic water I don't use antifreeze I blow it out with an air compressor.
