Bottom Cleaning in the water

Recommended Posts

Love this idea!  I think we talked about it here a couple years ago, but I don't think it was this system.  This is COOL!!!!!

That would be great to have on the lake.

It would need to be cheap enough to do often if you want to take that approach other than bottom paint.

I would kill to have that.  I'm not bottom painted, so right now I usually clean the boat when it's on the hook, using a small soft scotch brite pad.  It's a pain in the a**.

I would want it available for those of us who ARE bottom painted. We still get growth and have to pressure was LJ the bottom. Maybe softer bristles for bottom painted boats as to minimize the removal of the ablative paints.  But I think somebody could make a good business out of leasing a slip or two and providing this service. Beats a haul out on the larger boats.

That's exactly what I do throughout the season. When Lake Erie is nearly calm, I toss the anchor and jump in. I should get a small scuba tank as this would help getting it done instead of having to come up for air. The jump in speed is noticeable.

Same here--I typically gain 2-4 mph in top after a decent cleaning with the pad.
