Just put our Chap to bed for the winter and headed to Madeira Beach out side of Tampa . Does anyone know of a good place to rent a boat close by,  I see there is a marina close by our hotel but I figured maybe someone here may know  Thanks

I've seen signs for Tierra Verde Boat Rentals https://tvboatrentals.com/ but don't have any experience with them. If you are around that area, tie up at Sea Critters Cafe or  next door at The Wharf down in Pass-a-grill for some great food. I like the Jambalaya and my wife likes the lobster rolls. We usually anchor over at Shell Key for swimming and let the kids play on the beach. Have fun. Hope the red tide isn't too bad. We haven't been out over there for about a month, but heard it was making its way north.

One thing about Florida, they test recreational water quality frequently and from many locations. The Charlotte Harbor area has has a rough summer, and the bloom is heading north, but it would appear that the source pollution from Lake Okeechobee has ceased at least temporarily. For some time the affected area stretched from Sanibel Island, northward for 135 miles. Current conditions can be found on the link below.  W
