Still overheating and at my wits-end :-(

Final piece of the puzzle fixed today. I replaced the after-market temperature sender unit with the original and the gauge now reads a constant 140°F. The engine isn't overheating, and the gauge now confirms it.

Now all we need is for the licencing authorities to reopen the inland waterway locks and we're going away for a week or so :D

His initial thoughts are there's an issue with the water pump but we'll wait and see. He's fully booked until the end of next week, and as I'm working away I'll leave the job to him to sort.

Look at the mess 3 months in the River Avon has made of my nice shiny outdrive and prop :(
