2003 Signature 270 stringers & transom

Recommended Posts

Considering joining the Chaparral family. The boat I'm planning to bid is 2003 Signature 270. I love the layout and the boat itself looks good and engines are checked by mechanic. However, being 17 years old boat, I'm a bit concerned about the structurals. I have searched forums and data sheets but nothing found regarding the material that is used for stringers and transom - is it treated wood or glassfibre grid and fully synthetic transom plate? The other thing is coring - I understand there is coring used, but again which material on where are the places that need attention/examination? Maybe all this has been already times discussed but I just cant find it, if so please give me a hint and I'll go from there.

Thank you in advance!
