I'm hoping some of the wrench turners here can give me a steer to a reputable source for a remanufactured Chevy 350. Going into a 2002 Chevy Express 3500. My mechanic typically uses O'Reilly, but I'm thinking I might can do better if I look around.

Thanks guys.

Thanks, Billy. Nice web site. Didn't see any reman engines, though. Just crates.

You might try finding a local distributor for Jasper.

I've known a few people who've used them and were satisfied.

I used to live next door to a mechanic who did all the work on my cars and he swore by Jasper. That was the only replacement engines he would use. I know nothing about them for a boat however.

Please do all of your homework, after 3 reman mercruiser 454's in 2 years I was told that the failure rate of a remanufactured marine engine was 75% My engines were from RECON Marine engines in PA. I now have new 6.0 Crusaders lots more ponies went from 310 to 375 and lost about 3oo pounds of weight per engine from the 454

I appreciate the feedback but this is NOT for a marine application. It's for a Chevrolet van.

My mechanic assures me the motor from O'Reilly's is a reman. He's gonna check with Jasper. Maybe also with Marshall and chevy350engines.com.

Thanks again.

They will be reman. engines from all of those places. Yes, they might come in a crate, but they aren't "new" engines, just rebuilt.

Yeah, this van doesn't warrant a new crate engine. Reman's what I'm after.
