Great Pics, Looks like good time was had by all. What's with Capt. Morgan? Is he just a statue or an attraction of the lake?

Great pic's. We were at the Lake last week and you are right - very hot. Lake water temp hit 90 degree's one day - that's the warmest we have seen the lake in 17 years.

Just curious how you liked Lake View Resort? We have some friends that were looking to stay there but couldn't tell them much about it.

Thanks.

I liked it, but it is a little rustic according to the Admiral. I was surprised on the space; the place is packed with units, play grounds, pools and trees. It was a great place for the kids to run around.
We had a 3 BR / 2B unit; kitchen was nicely equipped with pots and pans and stuff. It also had 2 tables with seating for 10, 2 loveseats and a sofabed. The beds were soft.
Boat-trailer parking was not too good. In fact I had to put the boat in the slip at check in cause there was no place to park it on the trailer. It stayed in till we left Saturday morning. We used their ramp to launch but went to the public ramp (1/2 mile away) to pull them out; there’s was pretty steep with blacktop. The public ramp was concrete with a lots room. Docking was good 10x24 slip, ‘The Toddler’ fit just nicely. The cove they’re in was pretty busy with tubers and skiers all day. Boat bounced a lot during the day, just put the fenders out after we backed it in and it was just fine. When it was there.
Location was good MM 11.

Would I stay there again; yes. But we would like try somewhere different.

Good info on the resort - I will pass your comments along to our friends that are thinking of staying there. Looks like you got around the lake as Coconuts and Captain Ron's are 35+ miles apart. We like both places, just wish Coconuts would allow kids in the pool.

Also, that is a wild looking tube you have - looks like fun.

Thanks.

There are a couple of places down there with the caption morgan statue thing. I love caption ron's setup but haven't been to thrilled with the food. Was coconuts food good? Going back down there this weekend and might try bumps if we are up in the Glavios Arm. Been told they have everything $6 and under and the food is pretty good. What dates where you down there?

You got there as soon as I left :). Was also down there this weekend as well. 93 both days. Glad you and the fam had a good time. Also this was a pretty sweet experience the crew and I where headed up north to the Glavios Arm for some tubing/wakeboarding, relax and some lunch before we headed out of town for the weekend. I see a fellow Chappy with the same boat as mine same color as well. Pretty cool to see your boat in action!

So the picts look great but everybody I talk to about Lake of the Ozarks says that unless you have a 25+ ft boat you will get pounded and not have a good time.. hard to believe that looking at the picts above????

I would LOVE to go to a lake with a couple of bars on the water for the annual "mancation" (thats Man Vacation) 6 - 40yr old "boys" acting half our age (but safe with a DD). :)

Indy,

sun-fri for the most part you will be ok in a 25ft. Saturday is usually out of control but if you head out early find a spot stay for a while (party cove) then head out later in the afternoon or what ever your fine. I have a 276SSI so 28 foot and change with the swimplatform. There are some wakes that are pretty big but if you pay attention and hit them alright your good to go.
