Bought this from the original owner, that had it stored in a heated garage.

352 total hours, with only 240 on a complete rebuild.

Was a 227, but the p/o rebuilt the block with a 350.

This thing is a total time capsule.   I love the push button cassette player.

Came complete with a custom Sunbrella snap on  travel cover and Bimini.

Not a tear/crack in the upholstery

1984 198 XLC

So I think I read somewhere that this is the way that teak is supposed to age.  Do I need to oil it if the faded look doesn't bother me?

All of these pictures were before I paid for it and cleaned it.  :beer-7687-1:

She runs like a beast.   I am at altitude, so it is propped with a 17p.

She top ends at 45ish, but planes in about 1 second.  I am sure a higher pitched prop could get me a bit more speed, but why?

I'll put the GPS on it this weekend to confirm.

VERY nice! You may now have the official reference boat for anyone restoring a mid-80's XLC. Welcome to the group. That's a great looking boat.

Thanks for the compliments guys.  It really is pretty sweet.  No one believes how old it is.

I thought I was going to miss my other boat, but not so much...... :yb624:

Does anyone know if the lettering is original from the factory, or custom?  It looks a little different from the brochure, and I thought they all displayed the model #'s.

It looks original to me, if not then it is a great job.
